Now how can I name an already green field, green? Because it's "green" in the newest most wonderful sense of the word. Not just the color sense but the earth-friendly sense.
This painting is a composite of images seen on the way to the Chocolate Hills in Bohol, a side trip we took after the SFMSCC Cultural and Trade Mission to the Philippines in Nov. 2006. The centerpiece is a farmer tilling the ricefield with his hardworking, dependable, uncomplaining, precious working buddy, the carabao. No fossilized fuel here, just the pure, clean energy of man and beast.
