About Judy |
Judy Romanenkov's paintings capture the fleeting and the lasting beauty of nature and people. It is this heightened awareness and sensitivity to the constantly changing landscape of light, color, form, feelings, moods and emotions that infuse her paintings with life, hope, vibrancy and serenity. Judy became aware of, and fascinated by, this art that surrounds us from early childhood. She has since then been drawing then painting on and off, sometimes interrupted by long stretches by demands of family and "practical" careers. Along the way she raised her seven siblings, earned degrees in accounting and an M.A. in economics, took classes in fine arts and impressionist painting; taught accounting and economics; helped various non-profit organizations in such capacity as accounting manager, Director of Finance, Director of Finance & Administration; engaged in the real estate business; travels worldwide; occasionally triumphs in scrabble tournaments and is always energized by line dancing. Through all these, her love of painting never wavered nor waned: squeezing in painting when she can and painting on commission. And so with joy, now devotes her working time to her first love - painting. Her paintings are in private collections here and abroad.
